Queen Macdolena (Inspired by McDonald’s) Macdolena was born into a world where the golden arches of fast food dominated the landscape, while her people starved in the shadows of abundance. The food her community could no longer afford came wrapped in plastics that littered the streets. But Macdolena had a vision for change. She used these materials, combining them with oil and acrylic paints, to create vibrant, larger-than-life fashion pieces that celebrated her people’s strength. Her work shouts that there is more to life than consumption; it is about creativity, passion, and the will to survive. Each feather represented a hope for flight—escaping the environmental damage surrounding her and bringing her people’s voices to the world. Kalifa's work symbolizes the fight to restore harmony between nature and humanity, using the very materials that contribute to its destruction. Her mixed-media pieces shine with glitter and feathers, embodying a message of resilience and rebirth. Each painting available for purchase is a unique blend of art and storytelling. While these are printed copies of the artist's original work, each piece is elevated by the artist's personal touch. Dina Kabdolla will add her signature style to every order, incorporating elements such as resin, packaging, collected fashion pieces, glitter, and even carefully selected trash. Each painting will also feature hand-applied oil detailing, making it a one-of-a-kind artwork. All proceeds from Kabdolla's artwork directly support our family nonprofit, Hope Road, dedicated to empowering children and mothers from broken families in Africa and other underserved regions. By purchasing these unique art pieces, you’re not just acquiring art—you’re contributing to a mission of hope. Kabdolla’s vision is to use art as a vehicle for change, traveling to teach, inspire, and remind communities that creativity can ignite hope and transformation, even in the most challenging circumstances. Your support helps turn this vision into reality. Just as the girls in her artwork overcame challenges, so too can anyone who believes in the power of their dreams.
